Rene H. Pena passed away November 20, 2016. He was 55.

Rene was born in Memphis, Texas on September 30, 1961 to Meregildo and Emelia (Hinojosa) Pena. He was a lifelong resident of Odem, Texas. Rene was currently employed by Fulton Construction.

Rene is preceded in death by his mother, Emelia Pena and his brother, Ruben Pena.

Survivors include his father: Meregildo Pena of Odem, Texas; brothers: Merejildo Pena, Jr. of Odem, Texas and Arnold Pena (Josie) of Brady, Texas; sisters: Ofelia Hernandez (Santos) of Brady, Texas and Irma Jaquez (Tino) of Ft. Worth, Texas; numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will begin Tuesday, November 22, 2016, 10:00 AM, at Resthaven Funeral Home, Sinton. A rosary will be held the same evening, 7:00 PM, at Sacred Heart Church, Odem. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, November 23, 2016, 10:00 AM at the church. Burial will follow in San Pedro Cemetery, Odem.
