Sinton – Rev. Don E. Cureton passed away peacefully November 23, 2016 with his loving family by his side. He was 80.
Don was born in Laredo, Texas on September 22, 1936 to William Ford and Edna (Elliot) Cureton.
Don was a resident of Sinton, Texas more than 25 years. He lived in Waco, Texas and Florida previously. Don had a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Furman University. He was an ordained minister with a Bachelor Degree in Theology. Don was a retired Probation/Parole Officer. He was a member of Bible Baptist Church in Odem, Texas.
Don is preceded in death by his parents, William and Edna Cureton.
Survivors include his wife: Gloria Casanova Cureton of Sinton, Texas; two sons: Raoul Ortiz, Jr. and Randy Casanova (Alie), all of Sinton, Texas; two daughters: Ophelia Poole (Michael) of San Antonio, Texas and Miranda Casanova Zanhar (Sam) of Georgia; and 10 grandchildren.
The family will receive guests Monday, November 28, 2016 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel in Sinton, Texas. A Memorial Service will be held the same day, 2:00 PM, at the funeral home with Pastor Scott Link officiating.
