Corpus Christi – Roberto Vicente “Pudgy” Arizmendi passed away February 6, 2018. He was 62.
Roberto was born on October 26, 1955 to Santos Gloria (Guzman) and Vicente Ramirez. He was a retired Veteran of the US Army. Roberto, most recently, was formerly employed as a Correctional Officer with the Nueces County Sheriff’s Office. Roberto was a resident of Corpus Christi 25 years and former resident of McAllen, Texas where he was employed as a Border Patrol agent.
Roberto is preceded in death by his parents: Vicente and Santos Ramirez; and his sister: Virginia Reyes.
Survivors include his wife: Betty Ann “Betty Boop” Arizmendi of Corpus Christi, Texas; a daughter: Gloria Ann McQueen (Jeremy) of Birmingham, Alabama; a son: Eloy Alaniz Salazar (Laura P.) of Corpus Christi, Texas; sisters: Gloria Martha Ramirez of Pearland, Texas; Elidia Gamez (David) and Maria G. Ramirez, all of Houston, Texas; Yolanda Ramirez of San Antonio, Texas; and Ida Ramirez of Corpus Christi, Texas; 7 grandchildren: Robert J. Mitchell, Jr., Jackson H. McQueen, Ella G. McQueen, Lila C. McQueen, Lily J. McQueen, Aydin P. Salazar and Augystin P. Salazar.
Visitation will be held Sunday, February 11, 2018, 5:00 PM at Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel, Sinton. A holy rosary will be held the same evening, 7:00 PM, at the funeral home. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, February 12, 2018, 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, Sinton. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery, Corpus Christi, Texas.
