Sinton – Rodolfo “Rudy” R. Vasquez, Sr. passed away November 14, 2017. He was 59.

Rudy was born in Sinton, Texas on February 2, 1958 to Frances (Rivera) and Valentin Vasquez. Rudy was a lifelong resident of Sinton. He graduated Sinton High School and attended Bee County College in Beeville. Rudy was currently employed by Strike Construction of Corpus Christi. He was a loving father, grandfather and brother.

Preceding Rudy in death are his parents: Valentin and Frances Vasquez; and his great-grandmother: Elvira Villarreal.

Survivors include a son: Rudy Vasquez (Anastasia) of Corpus Christi, Texas; daughters: Ruby Ann Vasquez (John) and Cynthia Garcia (Brandon), all of Sinton, Texas; 6 brothers: Fermin Rivera of Matamoros, Mexico; Valentin Vasquez of Pleasanton, Texas; Ralph Vasquez, Ruben Vasquez (Elvira), Raymond Vasquez, all of Sinton, Texas; Robert Vasquez (Sandra) of Beeville, Texas; 3 sisters: Felicita Castro of Robstown, Texas; Mary Delic and Doris Balderas (David), of Houston, Texas; 9 grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will begin Thursday, November 16, 2017, 3:00 PM at Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel, Sinton.  A holy rosary will be recited the same evening, 7:00 PM at the funeral home. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, November 17, 2017, 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Church, Sinton. Burial will follow in Eternal Rest Cemetery, Sinton.

Pallbearers will be Steve Castro, Jr., Ralph Vasquez, David Balderas, Jr., Brandon Luis Garcia, John Navarro and Steve Garcia. Honorary pallbearers will be Jose Luis Garcia and Gabriel Garcia.
