Taft – Salvador B. Rodriguez, Jr. passed away June 1, 2017. He was 52. He was born on July 28, 1964 in Sinton, Texas to Salvador Ramos and Anita (Bustos) Rodriguez. Salvador was a lifelong resident of Taft and a 1986 graduate of Taft High School.

Preceding Salvador in death are his grandparents: Gonzalo Z. and Maria (Garcia) Bustos; Teofilo and Maria de Jesus Rodriguez; and Aunt Maria G. Bustos.

Survivors include parents: Salvador and Anita Rodriguez of Taft, Texas; brothers: Teofilo “Teddy” B. Rodriguez of Taft, Texas; Enrique Rodriguez (Joyce E.) of Taft, Texas; Steve B. Rodriguez of Taft, Texas; Jimmy B. Rodriguez of Rockport, Texas; sisters: Anita Geraldine Rodriguez Oramas (Felipe de Jesus Hernandez) of Clute, Texas; Alma Linda B. Rodriguez of Taft, Texas:; and numerous nieces and nephews. 

Visitation will be held Tuesday, June 6, 2017 and Wednesday, June 7, 2017, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, at Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel, Sinton. A rosary will be

Recited Wednesday, June 7, 2017, 7:00 PM, at the funeral home. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday, June 8, 2017, 10:00 AM, at Immaculate Conception Church, Taft with Father Pete Stanley as celebrant. Burial will follow in Taft Memorial Park Cemetery, Taft. Pallbearers will be Jimmy P. Rodriguez, Enrique B. Rodriguez, Aaron Rodriguez, Gabriel Bajaran, Sr., Felipe Oramas, Enrique A. Rodriguez, Jr.
