Warren Lee Schulz

Warren Lee Schulz of Sinton, TX passed away peacefully on Feburary 14, 2018.  He was surrounded by his loved ones.
Warren was born in Norfolk, NE. on July 1, 1939 to the late Clifford and Irene (Buckendahl) Schulz.  Warren was baptized August 12, 1939 at Zion Lutheran Church in Pierce, NE. The family lived on a farm by Pierce, NE where he was raised and educated primarily at Pierce Elementary School. For a few years he lived with his grandparents, Arthur and Bertha Schulz, and attended Zion Lutheran School. Warren was confimed at Zion Lutheran church in Pierce on March 29, 1953.  In 1953, Warren moved with his family to a farm east of Oakdale, NE. He graduated in 1957 from Oakdale High School, Oakdale, NE.
On September 6, 1959 Warren married Barbara A. Shenshew at Grace Lutheran Church in Neligh, NE.  He was a member and trustee of Trinity Lutheran Church in Sinton, TX.
Warren and Barbara farmed in the Oakdale and Elgin Communities from 1959 until 1964. They moved to Cary, IL where he worked at various jobs, until he was employed as a member of the International  Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.  He moved to many places, living in different states, before retiring because of poor health in 1994.  In 1995, they lived in a 5th wheel camper and traveled for 5 years, before moving to Sinton, TX in 2000. 
Warren took up the hobby of woodworking, enjoyed making things for his family and friends and he loved to fish.   He will be greatly missed by a wide circle of relatives and friends who will mourn his absence.
Warren is survived by his wife, Barbara (Shenshew) Schulz of Sinton, TX; a son: Dr. Rex and Lori (Phillips) Schulz of Quincy, IL; and a daughter: Rhonda Schulz of Marengo, IL.  He was blessed with 4 grandchildren: Stephanie (Schulz) Laughlin, of Columbia,MO; Courtney (Schulz) and Levi Lockett, of Quincy, IL; Chad Schulz of Quincy, IL.; and Brandi Stillings of Marengo,IL. He was also blessed with 4 great grandchildren: Brennan and Carson Laughlin, Brylie Crabtrey, and Brayden Stillings; one sister: Sharon (Schulz) Peterson; brothers-in-law:, William Gale Shenshew, Robert (Vana) Shenshew: and a sister-in-law: Mrs. Helen (Jim) Lyons all of Oakdale, NE; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
A Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, February 20, 2018, 10:00 at Trinity Lutheran Church in West Sinton, TX with Pastor Kevin Jennings officiating.
