A.C. Meredith

Sinton – A.C. Meredith passed away peacefully May 4, 2018 with his loving family at his side. He was 82.

A.C. was born March 14, 1936 in Wortham, Texas to Lelia (Owens) and Cecil Meredith. He was a resident of Sinton 24 years and former resident of Corpus Christi. A.C. was a veteran of the U.S. Army where he was a medic. He married his wife, Adela, in January 1994. They were happily married for 25 ½ years. A.C. retired from Southwestern Refining Co. in Corpus Christi. He was an avid gardener, raised chickens and goats and loved the simple country life. A.C. was a member of BALL (Be Active Live Longer) in Beeville and a frequent visitor of La Esperanza Adult Day Care in Beeville where he enjoyed reminiscing with fellow veterans. A.C. also had a passion for McDonalds and Whataburger. He could not pass one without stopping in.  A.C. was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend who will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his parents: Cecil and Lelia Meredith; his 7 brothers and 2 sisters.

Survivors include his wife: Adela V. Meredith of Sinton, Texas; sons: Kent Meredith (Jan Garn) of Austin, Texas; Damon Meredith (Jamie) of San Antonio, Texas; daughter: Mitzi McHenry (Barry) of Victoria, Texas; grandchildren: Colleen and Elizabeth, both from Arizona; Khristopher Meredith (Gina) of Florida; Micah McHenry of Colorado; and McKinzi McHenry from Victoria, Texas.

Visitation will begin Tuesday, May 8, 2018, 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel in Sinton. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, May 9, 2018, 9:00 AM at the funeral home. Interment will follow, 11:00 AM in Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery, Corpus Christi, Texas. Pallbearers will be Kent Meredith, Damon Meredith, Barry McHenry, Juan Villafranco, Ray Magana, C.J. Rodriguez and Mark Anthony Medina, Jr.
