Adelfa A. Anzaldua

Sinton – Adelfa A. Anzaldua passed away peacefully on October 1, 2019 with her loving family at her side. She was 81.

Adelfa was born in Bay City, Texas on July 18, 1938 to Candido and Adelfa (Marquez) Alaniz. She was a resident of Sinton for 45 years and current resident of Beeville, Texas. Adelfa was formerly employed by the San Patricio County Restitution Center and Sinton Community Action Agency. She was a beautiful spirit inside and out who lit up a room with her poise, beauty and smile. Adelfa will be missed by all who knew her.

Preceding in death is her husband: Pete J. Anzaldua; parents: Candido and Adelfa Alaniz; brothers: Candido Alaniz, Jr. and Juan Alaniz; sisters: Ramona Gonzales and Candelaria Guevara.

Survivors include her sons: John Anzaldua (Linda) of Beeville, Texas and Harvey Anzaldua (Christina) of Katy, Texas; daughters: Rose Ann Koerber of San Antonio, Texas; Diana Collins (Nelson) of Georgia; Arelie Houston of Kenedy, Texas; Grace Lopez (Danny) of Beeville, Texas; 13 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; sisters: Mary Ann Alaniz of Refugio, Texas; Mary Alice King (Glen) of New Braunfels, Texas; Sulema McShane of Corpus Christi, Texas; Petra Almarez of San Angelo, Texas and Diana Roy of Louisiana.

Visitation will begin Saturday, October 5, 2019, 2:00 PM at Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel, Sinton. A prayer service will be held the same evening, 7:00 PM at the funeral home. The Funeral Service will be held Sunday, October 6, 2019, 11:00 AM at the funeral home with Pastor Sandra Moreno officiating. Burial will follow in Sinton Cemetery, Sinton.

Pallbearers will be Bryan Oelschlegel, Franco Anzaldua, Aaron Anzaldua, Adrian Anzaldua and Severiano Guevara, Jr.
