Alexis Paige Barnard

On Tuesday, November 26, 2019, Alexis Paige Barnard, cherished daughter and sister, passed away in Corpus Christi, Texas. She was 28 years old.

Alexis was born on December 13, 1990, in Lampasas, Texas.  She was a 2009 honor graduate of Burnet High School.  She exhibited a love of theater, dance, and music.  Alexis had a competitive spirit and a lifelong passion for sports and fitness.  She favored bright colors and lived for the beautiful days outside.  Whether on the beach or at the lake, she found freedom by the water.  An intelligent and talented person, she achieved great success and received many awards.  Most of all, she loved her family and was protective of all her siblings.

Having developed friendships all over the world, Alexis was loved by many.  Her family adored her, and she will be greatly missed.   

Her father, Mark Barnard, and grandfather, Mike Barnard, preceded her in death.

Alexis is survived by her parents, Jason and Paula Kelley and C.J. Barnard, her siblings Michael Barnard and wife, Aimee, Jordan Barnard, Mackenzie Barnard, Sean Barnard, Jessie Barnard, A.J. Strouth and wife, Stephany, Daniel Lane Strouth and wife, Brittany, Jake Strouth and wife, Oleta, and Zach Strouth.  She is also survived by grandparents Jack and Connie Patton, Nancy Patton, Sharon Perry, Bill and Lucie Greene, Mike Kelley, Robin and Denise Baker, and a number of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 30, 2019, at the First Baptist Church, 203 South Leon Street, Gustine, Texas, at 11:30 a.m. followed by interment at Union Cemetery, Gustine, Texas.

Visitation will be held immediately preceding the service at 10:30 a.m.
