Alice DeLeon Castillo

Sinton - Alice DeLeon Castillo passed away peacefully July 17, 2018. She was 76.

Alice was born June 7, 1942 in Sinton, Texas to Aurora (Hernandez) and Lino B. DeLeon.

Her early years were spent in Banquete until the family moved to Sinton. Alice graduated Sinton High School in 1963. She and the love of her life, Jesse Castillo, were high school sweethearts. They were married 52 years. Alice retired as a Para-Professional employed by Sinton ISD more than 30 years.  She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Alice was passionate about her family: her husband, children and grandchildren meant the world to her. She was a brave soul who fought hard to beat her illness. Heaven has gained a strong angel. Alice will be dearly missed by her family and everyone who knew her.

Preceding Alice in death are her parents: Lino and Aurora DeLeon; sister: Yolanda Segovia; and brothers-in-law: Lupe Salinas and Ruben Lerma.

Survivors include her husband: Jesse Castillo of Sinton, Texas; a son: Rudy Castillo (Cindy) of San Antonio, Texas; a daughter: Tracey Perez (John Orta) of Sinton, Texas; 5 grandchildren: Arthur Mata, Benjamin Perez, Alexandra Castillo, Mia Mata and Lauren Castillo; brother: Lino DeLeon, Jr. (Diana) of Selma, Texas; sisters: Lupita Salinas of Sinton, Texas; Mary Lerma of Corpus Christi, Texas; Minerva Amador (Ruben) and Irene Herrera (Gilbert), all from Houston, Texas; Janie Gonzalez (Raymond) from Tomball, Texas; and Frances Olivarez (Patrick) from Sinton, Texas; brother-in-law: Johnny Segovia from Sinton, Texas; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation will begin Friday, July 20, 2018, 2:00 PM at Resthaven Funeral Home, Sinton. A holy rosary will be recited the same evening, 7:00 PM at the funeral home. The Funeral Mass will be Saturday, July 21, 2018, 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Church, Sinton. Burial will follow in Eternal Rest Cemetery, Sinton.

Pallbearers will be Stephen DeLeon, Mike DeLeon, Ruben Lerma, Roland Amador, John Orta, Jeff Herrera and Arthur Mata.
