Aransas Pass – Angelita Vasquez Martinez passed away peacefully on October 16, 2019. She was born on October 2, 1949 in Ingleside, Texas to Luis and Jesusa (Pena) Vasquez Sr.

Angelita was a lifelong resident of Aransas Pass. She was a devoted mother, sister and grandmother who will be missed by all who knew her.

Preceding in death is her husband: Rufino Perez Martinez; parents: Luis and Jesusa Vasquez Sr.; and sister-in-law: Alice Vasquez.

Survivors include her daughter: Elizabeth Martinez (Mark) of Corpus Christi, Texas; son: Michael Martinez (Norma) of Taft, Texas; sisters: Maggie Moreno (Pete) of Ingleside, Texas; Julie Rangel (Johnny) of Aransas Pass, Texas; Isabel Rodriguez (Noel) of Ingleside, Texas; Louisa Gonzales (Leonard) of Alvin, Texas; brothers: Joe Vasquez (Esther), David Vasquez, Tony Vasquez, Raymond Vasquez (Elva), Ricky Vasquez (Mary Alice) all of Ingleside, Texas; Charlie Vasquez of Corpus Christi, Texas; grandchildren: Patricia Ann Martinez, Michael Anthony Martinez Jr., Mark Bautista Jr., Draven Bautista; great-grandchildren; Aubry Valadez and Jennifer Martinez.

Visitation will be held Sunday, October 20, 2019, 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel, Aransas Pass. A Holy Rosary will be recited the same evening, 7:00 PM at the funeral home. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, October 21, 2019, 10:00 AM at St. Mary Star of the Sea Church, Aransas Pass, Texas. Burial will follow in San Ignacio Cemetery, Ingleside.
