Audrey Lynn Richard

Odem - Audrey Lynn Martin Richard was born to Billy Martin and Dorothy Canady on April 23, 1954 in Houston, Texas.  She passed away Wednesday, March 6, 2019 in Corpus Christi, Texas.

She loved spending hours next to the river with a cane pole in her hand and a worm on the hook.  She also loved family gatherings where the homemade food was delicious, the laughter was loud, and the games were plentiful.  At night we all sat around the campfire with her brother Derral playing the guitar and singing and everyone roasting marshmallows.  Family was a big part of Audrey’s life.

Audrey is preceded in death by her father, Billy Ray Martin, her brother, Derral Martin, step fathers, James P Dockens and Bert Canady, and step brothers, Robert Dockens and Robel Martin.

She is survived by her mother, Dorothy Canady, sister, Julie Ashby (Craig), step brothers Eugene Martin (Cindy), James R Dockens and Kenneth Dockens (Karen).  She also left behind three children, daughter, Vanessa Williams (Terry), son, Jessie Richard (Margaret), and daughter, Jamie Richard.  Audrey had 8 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Saturday, March 9th at 10:00am followed by the memorial service at 11:00am at Resthaven Funeral Home in Sinton, Texas.  Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Odem, Texas.
