Augustina Montelongo Bustamante

Sinton – Augustina Montelongo Bustamante passed away peacefully on September 22, 2019 with her loving family at her side. She was 85.

Augustina was born on October 22, 1933 in Sinton, Texas to Miguel and Pabla (Sanchez) Montelongo. 

Augustina married Jesus Bustamante, and together they built a life in Sinton where they raised the children they were very proud of. Augustina was a homemaker and a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Preceding in death are her husband, Jesus Bustamante; a son: Jose Bustamante; and her parents: Miguel and Pabla Montelongo.

Survivors include sons: Jesse Bustamante (Mary) of Sonora, Texas; Pete Bustamante; Delfino Bustamante (Veronica); and Arturo Bustamante, all of Sinton, Texas; Norberto Bustamante (Laura) of Taft, Texas; daughters: Alma Reyna (Sam); Sylvia Palacios (Raul); Corina Murillo (Tommy), all of Crosbyton, Texas; Yolanda Bustamante and Nelda Bustamante, both of Sinton, Texas; 15 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great grandchildren; and a sister: Maria Perez of Garland, Texas.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, September 24, 2019, 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM at Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel, Sinton.  A holy rosary will be recited the same evening, 7:00 PM, at the funeral home. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, September 25, 2019, 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, Sinton. Burial will follow in Eternal Rest Cemetery, Sinton.
