Rockport – Cheryl Lynn Palmer passed away June 7, 2017. She was 55.

Cheryl was born April 2,1962 to Jack Duane Sr. and Wanda (Cooper) Palmer. Cheryl was a resident of Rockport, Texas for 4 years and formerly a resident of Aransas Pass, Texas. Cheryl was a retired Merchant Mariner Boat Captain.

Preceding Cheryl in death are her mother, Wanda Palmer and grandparents, O.C. and Marie Cooper.

Survivors include a son: Chris Summerfield (Kristen) of Rockport, Texas; two daughters: Stephanie Foley (Jesse) of Aransas Pass, Texas and Amanda Summerfield of Rockport, Texas; 9 grandchildren; father: Jack Palmer of Aransas Pass, Texas; brother: Jack D. Palmer, Jr. of Aransas Pass, Texas; and sister: Diane Mitchell of Rockport, Texas.

Visitation will begin Friday, June 9, 2017, 11:00 AM Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel, Aransas Pass. A chapel service will be held the same day, 1:00PM at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Prairie View Cemetery, Aransas Pass.

Pallbearers will be Christopher Summerfield, Jesse Foley, Todd Collette, Nicholas Mitchell, Cody Summerfield and Jack D. Palmer, III.
