David Barry Lange

David Barry Lange was born December 15, 1960 in Superior Arizona to Robert and Clara (Ahrens) Lange. David attended Christian Brothers College from 1972-1976 in Pretoria, South Africa. Graduating from Tulsa Edison High School in Tulsa, Oklahoma in 1979. David was a member of the Sigma Chi Beta Kappa Chapter Fraternity at the University of Oklahoma where he graduated in 1984 with a BS in Construction Science. In 1984, David started his professional career in residential new home construction with Murry Homes in Plano, Texas.  David’s true passion was building and always said he would build until he died. The family and friends of David’s are so glad he got his wish. David ended his building career all too soon due to his untimely death, but his last project was his most loved and his greatest building accomplishment. David was building homes on the Texas Coast for Legacy DCS out of Austin Texas. Cass Brewer, Owner and David Lange, Chief Operating Officer made a good team and David will forever be missed by his Legacy family.  

David’s immediate family will be doing their best to continue his legacy with grace and dignity. In 1995 David married Linda and together they brought three wonderful children into their home which David built in Richardson, Texas.  Spencer (22), Tanner (20) and Hannah (17).  David loved soccer, the ocean, cooking for his family and friends and taking his beloved dog Tucker for long walks.  David was a family man devoted to his wife and kids. David rarely missed a football, soccer game, track or cross country meet. David just beamed with pride cheering those kids on. David was known for his quirky sense of humor and the more he joked with you the more he loved you.  His hobbies were playing soccer, running, horse races and building computers.  His meticulous attention to detail and adamant determination to do a job well inspired all who knew him.  David’s love of God, his family and his work in the residential building arena are a testament to a life well lived.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Linda, children, Spencer, (UTD Dallas), Tanner (Texas Tech Lubbock) and Hannah, Rockport, TX., his mother Clara Lange, Tulsa, OK, brothers Tom Lange, Oklahoma City, OK., Mark Lange, Delores, CO., and Susan Lange, Bisbee, AZ as well as many extended family and friends.  David was preceded in death by his father Robert Barry Lange.     

Funeral will be held Friday, March 15, 2019 at 11:00 a.m., Catholic Church of the Resurrection, 4804 S Fulton Ave., Tulsa Oklahoma.
