Dorothy Marie Roberts

Rockport – Dorothy Marie Roberts passed away peacefully August 4, 2018 at her home surrounded by her family. She was 77.

Dot was born January 25, 1941 in Cheboygan County, Michigan to Mena (Randall) and Walter Apsey. She was a resident of Rockport, and former resident of the Dallas/Ft. Worth area. Dot was formerly employed as a Secretary while living in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area, and a talented seamstress for Walls Industries located in Cleburne, Texas. She was a dedicated wife, devoted mother and loving grandmother who will be missed by all who knew her.

Dot is preceded in death by her grandson: Trenton Roberts; parents: Walter and Mena Apsey; sister: Mary Taylor; and brother: Joe Apsey.

Survivors include her husband: Curtis W. Roberts of Rockport, Texas; sons: Barry Shaw (Vickie) of Houston, Texas; Kevin Shaw (Dawn) of Keene, Texas; and Dallas Roberts of Sandpoint, Idaho; daughters: Ronda Shaw (Kenneth Foster) of Rockport, Texas and Katy Yamamuro (Atsushi) of Japan; 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; brothers: Norman Apsey and Oral Apsey (Dottie) of South Carolina; sisters: Lois Moore (Marvin) of South Carolina; Helen Landon of Virginia; Dorothia Kossel of Florida; and Gerri Novak of Houston, Texas.
