Sinton - Elida Soto Moreno passed away May 6, 2017. She was 82.

Elida was born in Taft, Texas on July 19, 1934 to Juan and Celia (Suarez) Soto. She was a resident of Sinton since 1956 and previously Gregory, Texas. She was a loving wife and mother to her husband and children.

Preceding Elida in death is her husband: Jesus Moreno; parents: Juan and Celia Soto; sister: Belia Soliz; and brother: Joe Soto.

Survivors include sons: Jesus Moreno (Doris) of Sinton, Texas and Mario Moreno (Cecilia) of Cypress, Texas; daughter: Irma Guerra (Gilbert) of Sinton, Texas; grandchildren: Jimmy Moreno (Clarissa) of Sinton, Texas; Jennifer Cantu (Roland) of Portland, Texas; Nikki Guerra of Houston, Texas; Katherine Smith (Matthew) of Austin, Texas; Christina Moreno of Cypress, Texas; Kristian Moreno of Sinton, Texas and Stephanie Ramirez (Joseph) of Portland, Texas; great-grandchildren: Andrew Cantu of Portland Texas; Caleb Moreno of Sinton Texas; Adrian Cantu of Portland, Texas; Blakely Moreno of Sinton, Texas; Amber Ramirez, Autumn Ramirez, Hailey Ramirez all of Portland, Texas; brother: Santos Soto (Esmeralda) of Gregory, Texas; sister: Juanita Martinez (Jesus) of Sinton, Texas.

Pallbearers are Jimmy Moreno, Ruben Moreno, Eliseo Rivas, Joe Moreno, Jessie Martinez, and Alfonso Soliz. Honorary pallbearers are Kristian Moreno, Andrew Cantu, Caleb Moreno, and Adrian Cantu.

Visitation will be held Thursday, May 11, 2017, 12:00 PM, at Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel, Sinton.  The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, May 12, 2017, 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, Sinton. Burial will follow in Eternal Rest Cemetery, Sinton.
