Aransas Pass – Encarnacion A. Martinez “Carnation” passed away December 29, 2019. He was 62.
Carnation was born January 11, 1957 in Port Lavaca, Texas to Encarnacion and Anita (Ancira) Martinez Sr. He was a lifelong resident of Aransas Pass, Texas.
Carnation was a painter/construction worker. He was a beloved husband, father, uncle, and friend. Carnation will be missed by all who knew him.
Preceding in death is his father: Encarnacion Martinez Sr.; grandson: Logan Martinez.
Survivors include his wife: Virginia Martinez of Corpus Christi, Texas; daughter: Anna Maria Martinez of Corpus Christi, Texas; son: Joseph Michael Martinez (April) of Deweyville, Texas; mother: Anita Martinez of Aransas Pass, Texas; brothers: Daniel Martinez (Deborah) of Aransas Pass, Texas; Richard Martinez of Aransas Pass, Texas; sisters: Diana Resendez (Erasmo Sr.) of San Marcos, Texas; Elva Fuentez (Jesse) of Aransas Pass, Texas; Rosa Davila (Ray) of Aransas Pass, Texas; Nora Ann Pinones (Fernando) of Cedar Park, Texas; 2 grandchildren: Gage Martinez and Vincent Joan Cantu. Numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Thursday, January 2, 2020, 1:00 PM at 11th street Christian Church. A Prayer Service will be held the same evening at 7:00 PM at the church. A Christian Rites Service will be held Friday, January 3,2020 10:00 AM. Burial will follow at San Ignacio Cemetery, Ingleside.
