Sinton – Esequiel “Zeke” Cano, Jr. passed away August 18, 2018. He was 59.

Zeke was born on April 12, 1959 in Victoria, Texas to Esequiel Cano, Sr. and Tomasa Delagarza. He was a Parts Specialist employed by Texas A&M Corpus Christi.

Preceding in death are his parents: Esequiel Cano, Sr. and Tomasa DeLaGarza; sisters: Tomasita Perez and Debbie Gayle; brothers: Salvador Perez; Perfecto Perez; Guillermo Cano and Lee Pedaraza.

Survivors include wife: Marcy Cano of Sinton, Texas; sons: Esequiel Nicodemus “Nick” Cano of Sinton, Texas and Gilberto Thomas Cano of Escondido, CA; daughters: Angela Rangel (Jay Camacho) of Sinton, Texas; Matilda Melvin (Josh) of Escondido, CA; Clarissa Sue “Clare” Ellis (Erik) of Corpus Christi, Texas; Amanda Cano of Sinton, Texas; 8 grandchildren. Other survivors include brothers: Raynaldo Perez of Victoria, Texas; Adam Perez (Tomasa) of Brazoria, Texas; Johnny Perez (Un) of San Antonio, Texas; Santos Cano (Janie) of Victoria, Texas; Mike Cano of Houston, Texas; Adam Cano of Houston, Texas; Edward Cano (Tommie) of Houston, Texas; sisters: Cenaida Baldridge of Victoria, Texas; Eva Hamburger (Walter) of Austin, Texas and Lupe Martinez (Jorge) of Houston, Texas; brother-in-law: Daniel Gayle of Port O’Conner, Texas; and sisters-in-law: Rosie Perez of Georgia and Cecilia Cano of Alvin , Texas.

Visitation will be begin Thursday, August 23, 2018, 5:00 PM at Resthaven Funeral Home Capel, Sinton. A rosary will be held the same evening, 7:00 PM, at the funeral home. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, August 24, 2018, 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Church, Sinton. Burial will be private.
