St. Paul – Francisco Elizondo Franco passed away peacefully on September 13, 2019 with his loving family at his side. He was 72.
Francisco was born in Tynan, Texas on January 6, 1947 to Alberto and Lorenza (Elizondo) Franco.
Francisco married the love of his life, Elida Torres, and shared a wonderful life together for 50 years. They made their home in St. Paul. He was a carpenter by trade and retired after 30 years. He was well known for his craftsmanship. Francisco was also employed with AFC for 25 years. He also did seasonal grain work. Family was very important to him. Spending time with his loved ones, especially his great-grandkids, was one of his favorite things to do. He also enjoyed working in his fields and garden. Sharing the fruits of his labor was a joy for him. He grew corn, tomatoes, cucumbers and much more.
Preceding in death are his parents, Alberto and Lorenza Franco.
Survivors include his wife Elida T. Franco of St. Paul, Texas; children: Frances Silva (Rene) of St. Paul, Texas; Francisco Franco, Jr. (Esmeralda) of Poteet, Texas; Patricia Contreras (Cori) of St. Paul, Texas; grandchildren: Austin Franco; Zachary Franco; Camden Franco; Christopher Olbera; Dominga Olbera; Jaime Olbera; Adrian Quiones; Sabrina Silva; Samantha Gonzales; Isabella Contreras; Cori Contreras, Jr.; and Dustin Franco (Victoria); great-grandchildren: Riley Velasquez; Breella Velasquez; Cayden Gonzales; Carter Gonzales; Zander Franco and Elianna Olbera; brothers: Reynaldo Franco (Camila) of New Caney, Texas; Alfredo Franco (Emma) of Sinton, Texas; Prescilliano Franco (Virginia) of Sinton, Texas; Lorenzo Franco (Vicki) of Sinton, Texas; Aurelio Franco (Elaine) of Beeville, Texas and Albert Franco (Rosie) of Corpus Christi, Texas; sisters: Juanita Munoz (Richard) of Beeville, Texas and Anna Marie Stewart (Walter) of Cleburne, Texas.
Visitation will be held Saturday, September 14, 2019, 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM and Sunday, September 15, 2019, 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel, Sinton. A rosary will follow Sunday evening, 7:00 PM, at the funeral home. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, September 16, 2019, 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Church, Sinton. Burial will follow in Eternal Rest Cemetery, Sinton.
