Sinton – Gilbert Adames, 75, passed away July 6, 2017. Gilbert was born in Sinton, Texas on October 29, 1941 to Ricardo and Mercedes (Zamora) Adames.

Gilbert was a retired truck driver formerly employed with La Copa and H&K companies in Sinton. He was a lifelong resident of Sinton.

Preceding Gilbert in death are his parents: Ricardo and Mercedes Adames; brothers: Willy Orta; Nasario Orta; Romolo Orta; Fred Orta and Jose Adames; sisters: Clara Bustillo and Maria Gonzalez; and granddaughter: Amanda Palomo.

Survivors include his wife: Ofelia L. Bustillo of Sinton, Texas; sons: Samuel Adames (Melissa) of Corpus Christi, Texas and Ramiro Palacios of Sinton, Texas; daughter: Patricia Paloma of Sinton, Texas; grandchildren: C.J. Bustillo; Skylar Bustillo; Ryan Adames; Tiffany Adames; Chantale Adames; Angelica Palomo; JR Palomo, Jr.; and Adreana Palomo; great-grandchildren: Brayden Palomo and Aydyn Adames; brother: Alejandro “Alex” Adame (Cruz of Georgia; numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will begin Monday, July 10, 2017, 2:00 PM, at Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel, Sinton. A rosary will be held the same evening, 7:00 PM at the funeral home. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, July 11, 2017, 10:00 AM, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, Sinton with Father Pete Stanley as celebrant. Burial will follow in Eternal Rest Cemetery, Sinton.
