Guadalupe R. Villarreal

Sinton – Guadalupe R. Villarreal passed away peacefully on February 19, 2019 with his loving family at his side. He was born in Odem, Texas on February 8, 1937 to Incarnacion and Julia (Rangel) Villarreal. Guadalupe was a farmer most of his life formerly employed by the Ring Brothers. Sinton was his home for more than 60 years. He had lived in Odem before Sinton.

Preceding in death is his beloved wife: Luisa Villarreal; parents: Incarnacion and Julia Villarreal; daughter: Anna Marie Villarreal; and sons: Samuel and Joe Luis Villarreal.

Survivors include sons: Juan Villarreal (Mary); Andy Villarreal (Ruth); Jesse Villarreal (Cindy) and Wally Villarreal, all of Sinton, Texas; and Freddy Villarreal (Crystal) of Katy, Texas; 22 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, February 20, 2019, 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel, Sinton. A rosary will be held the same day, 7:00 PM, at the funeral home. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday, February 21, 2019, 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Church in Sinton with Father Ibay as celebrant. Burial will follow in John J. Memorial Cemetery, St. Paul.  

Pallbearers will be Mark Villarreal, Justin Villarreal, John Paul Villarreal, John Ryan Villarreal, Anthony Villarreal and Matthew Villarreal.
