Sinton – Guadalupe (Lupio) “Gator” Morin passed away September 26, 2017. He was 61.

Lupio was born June 8, 1956 in Mathis, Texas to Juan and Guadalupe (Flores) Morin. He lived in Sinton, Texas for 38 years and was a former resident of Edroy. Lupio was a self-employed mechanic. He was an avid pool player, deer hunter and fisherman. Lupio’s love for his family was unconditional.

Lupio is preceded in death by his father: Juan Morin, Sr. and brothers: Ruben Morin and Esteban Morin.

Survivors include his wife of 38 years: Selvia Morin of Sinton, Texas; son: David (Michelle) Morin of Fostoria, Ohio; daughter: Teri Morin of Sinton, Texas; 7 grandchildren: Katherine Muzzall, David Morin, Jr., Madison Aguirre, Mariah Aguirre and Macy Aguirre, all of Sinton, Texas; Marisa Morin and Lorie Morin, both of Fostoria, Ohio; 2 great-grandchildren: Bentley Muzzall of Sinton, Texas and Isabella Morin of Fishers, Indiana; mother: Guadalupe Morin of Edroy, Texas; sisters: Elva Garcia of Odem, Texas; Nina Morin of Sinton, Texas; Vira (Pablo) Garza of Pasadena, Texas; and Ellie Morin of Taft, Texas; brothers: Juan (Emma) Morin, Alfredo (Lydia) Morin and Hector (Sylvia) Morin, all of Edroy, Texas; Arnold (Becky) Morin of Robstown, Texas and Carlos (Aurora) Morin of Odem, Texas; sister-in-law: Ester Morin of Edroy, Texas; and numerous cousins, relatives and friends.

Visitation will begin Friday, September 29, 2017, 1:00 PM at Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel, Sinton.  A holy rosary will be recited the same evening, 7:00 PM at the funeral home. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, September 30, 2017 at 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Sinton with Father Juan Gamez as celebrant. Interment will follow in Eternal Rest Cemetery, Sinton.

Pallbearers will be David Morin, Jr., Joe Hector Morin, David Cabrera, Roland Luera, Robert Luera and Anthony Tijerina. Honorary pallbearers will be Hector Morin and Johnny Morin.
