Odem – Jaime Benavidez passed away April 2, 2018 with his loving family at his side. He was 50.

Jaime was born March 30, 1968 in Robstown, Texas to Hermelinda (Gonzalez) and Dan Benavidez.

He is preceded in death by his father: Dan Benavidez; brother: Eddie Benavidez; sister: Sandra Benavidez and father-in-law: Inez Cortez.

Survivors include wife: Nora Benavidez of Odem, Texas; sons: J.D Benavidez; Eddie Benavidez and Gus Cuellar, Jr. all of Odem, Texas; daughters: April Martinez (Robert) of Odem, Texas and Vanessa Cuellar (Mario Hinojosa) of San Antonio, Texas; grandchildren: Joseph Gonzalez; Jonathan Emerson; Aaliyah Martinez and Aubrianna Martinez; mother: Hermelinda Valdez of Odem, Texas; brothers: Felipe Benavidez (Diana) and Daniel Benavidez both of San Antonio, Texas; sister: Mary Alice Martinez (Emilio) of Edroy, Texas; mother-in-law: Adelina Cortez of Sinton, Texas.

Visitation will begin Thursday, April 5, 2018, 1:00 PM at Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel, Sinton. A holy rosary will be recited the same day, 7:00 PM at the funeral home. Funeral Mass will be Friday, April 6, 2018, 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Church, Odem. Burial will follow at San Pedro Cemetery, Odem.
