Welcome to the memorial page for

Jay Brian Casey

July 27, 1961 ~ January 6, 2018 (age 56) 56 Years Old

Ingleside – Jay Brian Casey passed away January 6, 2018 at the age of 56. Jay was born in McAllen, Texas on July 27, 1961 to William Austin and Sue Ella (Canon) Casey.

His family moved to Abilene when he was 8 and lived there for 33 years before moving to Ingleside in 2004. He survived by his wife, best friend and soul mate Diane (O'Neal) Casey, son Kenneth Brian Casey, four brothers- Bill Chris, Jackie, and twin brother Jeff. He leaves behind his granddaughters Kendra and Addie, his nephew Ben, which was more like his younger brother and best friend, Aunts Jackie and Kay, numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, and one very special friend and Dallas Cowboy partner that was always by his side, Brent Fite.

To all of his family and friends he will always be remembered as Captain Jay. The Casey Boys or The Twins as they were known on the island, owned and operated Casey Custom Cabinets for almost 30 years, which Jeff will carry on, with Jay in spirit by his side. He got a taste of the "Island Life" when he fell in love and married Diane in 2007, but felt more at home when they moved to Ingleside in 2010, where he loved spending time in his shop and man cave known as The Cowboy Clubhouse.

There will be a Celebration of Life on the weekend of April 22, Earth Day, Diane's birthday. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Jay's name to The Ark (Animal Rescue Keep) in Port Aransas.
