St. Paul – Joe Mike Suarez passed away April 12, 2017. He was 31.

Joe Mike was born in Corpus Christi, Texas on August 2, 1985 to Joe Ed and Rosie (Herrera) Suarez.

Joe Mike was employed as a heavy equipment operator with Bay Industries in Corpus Christi.

Preceding Joe Mike in death is his mother: Rosie Suarez; paternal grandparents: Charlie and Delia Suarez. 

Survivors include his wife: Selena Ybarra of Sinton, Texas; father: Joe Ed Suarez of St. Paul, Texas; brother: Joe Ed Suarez, Jr. of St. Paul, Texas; sisters: Cathy Jo Suarez of St. Paul, Texas; Jolynda Suarez of St. Paul, Texas; maternal grandparents: Antonio and Lupe Herrera of Portland, Texas; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Visitation will begin Monday, April 17, 2017, 10:00 AM at Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel, Sinton. A rosary will be recited the same evening, 7:00 PM at the funeral home. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, April 18, 2017, 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, Sinton. Burial will follow in John J. Welder Memorial Cemetery, St. Paul.

Pallbearers will be Joe Ed Suarez, Jr., Demencio Davila, Jr., Pedro Sanchez, Paul Ynostrosa, Ruben Serna, Jr., Brandon Dunlap, Bryan Richter and Adrian Alaniz.  Honorary pallbearers will be Roman Cancino, Joshua Perez, Robert Martinez, Ronald Martinez, Rene Ramirez, Jr., Ismael Rocha, Jr., Daniel Suarez, Mark Herrera, Gabriel Herrera, Eric Vitela, Andrew Garcia, Stevie Hernandez, Rey Ybarra, Roy Ybarra, Gene Kasprzyk and Sean Carrier.
