John Paul Longoria

Taft – John Paul Longoria passed away February 11, 2018. He was 34.

John Paul was born May 22, 1983 in Taft, Texas to Angelmira Ortiz and Francisco M. Longoria. He was a lifelong resident of Taft, Texas. John Paul worked as a self-employed mechanic and he owned and operated his own wrecker service.

John Paul is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents: Maria Nieves and Arcadio Ortiz, Jr.; and his paternal grandfather: Enrique Rodriguez.

Survivors include his sons: Daniel Anthony Longoria of Corpus Christi, Texas and John Paul Longoria, Jr. of Portland, Texas; daughters: Kimberly Longoria of Portland, Texas and Aurabella Longoria of Corpus Christi, Texas; parents: Angelmira Nino of Taft, Texas and Frank Longoria of Sinton, Texas; brothers: Jesse Nino, Jr., Johnny Nino and Jonathon Nino, all of Corpus Christi, Texas; sisters: Roxy Ortiz of Corpus Christi, Texas and Francheska Longoria of Beeville, Texas; paternal grandmother: Momo Coy Rodriguez; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Visitation will be held Thursday, February 15, 2018, 4:00 PM at Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel, Sinton. A Holy Rosary will be held the same evening, 7:00 PM, at the funeral home. The Funeral Mass will be held Friday, February 16, 2018, 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Church in Sinton. Burial will follow in Taft Memorial Park Cemetery, Taft.
