Jose Ramiro Lamas

Aransas Pass – Jose Ramiro Lamas passed away May 27, 2019 with his loving family at his side. He was 45.

Joe was born October 3, 1973 in Corpus Christi, Texas to Paul Ramos and Abigail Lamas.  He was a lifelong resident of Aransas Pass where he was well known in the community. Joe was formerly employed as a welder. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend. Joe will be missed by all who knew him.

Preceding in death are his stepfather: Lorenzo Arispe; brothers: Maximo Reyna III and Guadalupe Lamas.

Survivors include his wife: Rachael Lamas of Aransas Pass, Texas; sons: Jose Ramiro Lamas Jr. (Janette) of New Bern, North Carolina; Rodrigo Lamas of Aransas Pass, Texas; daughter: Jenna Adame (C.J.) of Aransas Pass, Texas; 4 grandchildren: Audrey Lamas, Lucas Davila, Cammie Jo Adame, Jose Ramiro Lamas III; mother: Abigail Arispe of Aransas Pass, Texas; brother: Michael Eric Lamas of Aransas Pass, Texas; and sister: Amanda Camper (Sammy) of Rockie Boy, Montana.

Visitation will be held Friday, May 31, 2019, 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel, Aransas Pass. A holy rosary will be recited the same day, 7:00 PM at the funeral home. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, June 1, 2019, 2:00 PM at St. Mary Star of the Sea Church in Aransas Pass with Father James Vasquez as celebrant. Burial will follow in Prairie View Cemetery, Aransas Pass.
