Odem – Joseph Andrew “JD” Drury, Jr. passed away September 10, 2018. He was 33.
JD was born April 29, 1985 in Houston, Texas to Terri (Mitchell) and Joseph Andrew Drury. He was currently a resident of Houston working as an Operations Manager for an environmental company. JD was a former resident of Odem where he attended Odem schools. He was a friend to everyone he met. JD had a zest for life…always the life of the party. He never met a stranger. JD will be missed by everyone who knew him.
Preceding JD in death is his father: Joseph Andrew Drury.
Survivors include his precious son: Douglas Drury of Gregory-Portland, Texas; his mother: Terri Simmers of Odem, Texas; 2 sisters: Jennifer Hall of Odem, Texas and Jessica Cleveland (Craig) of San Antonio, Texas; his son’s mother: Danielle Johnson of Gregory, Texas; and many, many friends.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Friday, September 14, 2018 at Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel in Sinton beginning at 2:00 PM. The family will receive guests until 5:00 PM at the funeral home.
