To the family, my sincere condolences for the loss of your loved one. As you cope with your loss, may you be comforted by the "Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of tender mercies and the God of all comfort" (2 Cor 1:3) that one day, "all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out." (John 5:28, 29) May the words from God's word, the Bible give you comfort now and real hope for the future. My deepest sympathy.

As I found out that you were entering the pearly gates, I was shocked. Speechless. Our last conversation was when you called to tell me you felt very ill. As the old saying goes, if I knew then what I know now, maybe this would be different. I have enjoyed being you're friend and honored to be you're brother in law. You have made it to the best fishing hole. Peaceful and beautiful. Heaven called you. You will be missed and loved forever. May you rest in peace. We will hit the waters thinking about you and visit the hot spots you cherished and allowed us to learn. We will miss you. Until we meet again.

I worked with Johnny at Stewart & Stevenson. I would like to take a moment to offer my condolences to his family and share a memory of the kind of person he was to me. He was a polite, caring person. Always chewing on that cigar. I could count on him for anything. The memory that sticks in my head the most was every Christmas he would ALWAYS leave a funny or a sweet card on my desk every year. A great co-worker and even better friend. I hope you are catching a boat load up there big guy.
