Corpus Christi – Juanita Linda Ramos passed away peacefully on October 30, 2019. She was 70.
Juanita was born in Taft, Texas on August 24, 1949 to Gregorio and Oralia (Rios) Ramos. She was a resident of Corpus Christi for most of her life and worked as a sales clerk for Dillard’s Department Store. She was a devoted Guadalupana and Sacristan at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in Corpus Christi.
Preceding in death are her mother: Oralia Weigt; stepfather: Clarence Weigt; father: Gregorio Ramos; and grandparents: Jesus and Manuela Rios.
Survivors include her son: Humberto R. Cruz, Jr. (Lisa) of Corpus Christi, Texas; daughter: Melissa Banda (Ramiro) of Corpus Christi, Texas; grandchildren: Cambryn James Cruz; Valerie Morales; Kasandra Rodarte (John); Kristina Alejandro (Rene); Ramiro Banda, III, Roel Banda (Stephanie) and Rowdy Banda; 8 great-grandchildren; brother: George Ramos of Corpus Christi, Texas; sisters: Amelia Guerra of Sinton, Texas; Yolanda Alejos of Corpus Christi, Texas and Cathy Weigt of Corpus Christi, Texas.
Visitation will be held on November 7, 2019, 2:00 PM at Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel, Sinton. A rosary will be held the same evening, 7:00 PM, at the funeral home. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, November 8, 2019, 10:00 AM at Immaculate Conception Church, Taft with Father John McKenzie as celebrant. Burial will follow in Lamas Memorial Park Cemetery, Taft.
