Laura was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin November 24, 1963 to Gene and Julie (Zerkel) Reimer. She was a resident of Wisconsin for the past 15 years.

Preceding in death are her parents: Gene and Julie Zerkel.

Survivors include her husband: Michael Newberry; sisters: Beth Bruders (Bob) of Waukesha, Wisconsin; Barb Curry (Brian) of Pewaukee, Wisconsin and Jenni Thompson (Doug) of Aransas Pass, Texas.
