Marcelina F. Moreno

Taft – Marcelina F. Moreno passed away peacefully with her family by her side on June 3, 2019. She was 87.

Marcelina was born in Poth, Texas on January 6, 1932 to Eusebio and Luz (Barbosa) Flores. She was a homemaker and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Marcelina loved her plants, tending to her flowers as often as she could. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Preceding in death is her husband: Juan Z. Moreno; sons: Israel Moreno, Jose Moreno, Carlos Moreno, Sr.; daughter: Irma M. Villarreal; grandson: Jesse Moreno, Jr.; great-granddaughter: Katelyn Villarreal; and parents: Eusebio and Luz Flores.

Survivors include a son: Jesus Moreno (Gracie) of Taft, Texas; daughters: Irene M. Garcia of Angleton, Texas and Sylvia Moreno Ramirez (Polo) of Taft, Texas; 18 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; and sister: Maria Flores Trevino of Houston, Texas.

Visitation will be held Thursday, June 6, 2019, 5:00 PM at Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel, Sinton. A rosary will be held the same evening, 7:00 PM at the funeral home. The Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, June 6, 2016, 10:00 AM at Immaculate Conception Church, Taft.

A Graveside Service will be held Saturday, June 8, 2019, 10:00 AM at Lamas Memorial Park Cemetery, Taft. Pallbearers will be Javier Moreno, Greg Garcia, Alfonso Villarreal, Carlos Moreno, Jr., Edward Moreno and Jorge Hernandez.
