Marcelo E. Maldonado

Oklahoma – Marcelo E. Maldonado passed away August 23, 2018. He was 88.

Marcelo was born in Sandia, Texas on April 9, 1930 to Alejandro and Guadalupe (Encinia) Maldonado. He did farm work and retired as an iron worker formerly employed by Brown & Root. Davidson, Oklahoma was Marcelo’s home for the past 38 years and prior Sinton, Texas.

Preceding in death is his wife: Angela Maldonado; parents: Alejandro and Guadalupe Maldonado; and daughter: Sylvia Maldonado.

Survivors include Marcelo Maldonado, Jr. of Frederick, OK; Rogelio Maldonado of Davidson, OK; David Maldonado of Wichita Falls, TX; daughters: Rosalinda Reyna of Sinton, TX; Margaret Lopez of Davidson, OK; Debbie Maldonado (Venise Frazer) of Chesapeake, VA; Elizabeth Maldonado (Trey Gaines) of Frederick, OK; and Andrea Hicks of Lawton, OK; 19 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; sister: Lydia Munguia (Benito) of Enid, OK.

Visitation will begin Tuesday, August 28, 2018, 2:00 PM at Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel, Sinton. A rosary will follow, 7:00 PM, at the funeral home, The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, August 29, 2018, 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, Sinton with Father Glen Mulan as celebrant. Burial will follow in Eternal Rest  Cemetery, Sinton. Pallbearers will be Kristian Maldonado, Jacob Maldonado, Tyler Zuniga, Aiden Morin, Marcelo “Trey” Maldonado, III and Johnny “J.R.” Benavidez.
