Marciel "Shorty" Barrios, Sr.

Sinton– Marciel “Shorty” Barrios Sr. passed away March 11, 2018. He was 64.

Shorty was born December 24, 1953 in Karnes City, Texas to Francisca (Rios) and Amado Barrios, Sr. He was a resident of Sinton, Texas since 1967 and former resident of Karnes City, Texas. Shorty was a former pipeline employee for H&K Construction in Sinton.

Shorty is preceded in death by his parents: Francisca and Amado Barrios, Sr.; grandchildren: Angel Nicole and Lee Andrew; in-laws: Esteban and Silvestra Cano; and a nephew: Tomas Segura, III.

Survivors include his wife: Isidora Barrios of Sinton, Texas; daughter: Marina Barrios (Rico) of Sinton, Texas; sons: Oscar Noriega, Jr;  Esteban “Stevie” Noriega; and Mayo Lee Barrios (Rose) all of Sinton, Texas; Marciel Barrrrios, Jr. (Patsy) of Taft, Texas; 9 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; brother: Amado Barrios, Jr. (Manuela) of Corpus Christi, Texas; sisters: Milela Segura, Jr. (Tomas); Maria Cano (Francisco), all of Sinton, Texas; Juanita Rivera (Benito) of Taft, Texas and Irene Garza (Alfredo) of Dallas, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 13, 2018, 11:00 AM at Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel, Sinton. A Holy Rosary will be held the same evening, 7:00 PM, at the funeral home. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, March 14, 2018, 11:00 AM at Our Lady Guadalupe Church, Sinton. Burial will follow in Eternal Rest Cemetery, Sinton.
