Aransas Pass – Margarita Rangel Guerrero passed away April 30, 2017. She was 70.

Margarita was born on November 21, 1946 in Laredo, Texas to Jesus and Teresa  (Abrego) Rangel. She moved to Aransas Pass in 1980 from California and spent her life enjoying her family, her church and her friends.

Survivors include her husband: Ponciano Guerrero of Aransas Pass; sons: Joel Cristan Guerrero (Zalvie Aquino) of Citrus Heights. CA; Jesse Abraham Guerrero and Josiah Guerrero, both of Aransas Pass, Texas;  Judah Benjamin Guerrero (Kadie) of Corpus Christi, Texas; daughters: Melissa Montgomery (Mike) of Houston, Texas; Veronica Denise Sukkary of Sacramento, CA and Abigail Ruth Guerrero (Thomas) of Ingleside, Texas; stepson: Ponce Guerrero (Linda) of Rockport, Texas; stepdaughters: Mary Cleo Guerrero of California and Duana Guerrero of Rockport, Texas; brothers: Armando Rangel and Gilbert Rangel, both of Rowland Heights, CA; Ismael Rangel of Bell, CA; sisters: Irma Ramirez of San Francisco, CA and Rosie Carruana of South Gate, CA; 18 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Friday, May 5, 2017, Primera Iglesia Bautista, 505 N. Rife in Aransas Pass, Texas. Family will receive guests from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Funeral services will be held, 1:00 PM at the church with Pastor Samuel Estrada officiating. Burial will follow in San Ignacio Cemetery, Ingleside.
