Taft – Maria A. Flores passed away peacefully at home on April 18, 2019 with her loving family at her side. She was 72.

Maria was born in Edcouch, Texas on June 20, 1946 to Guillermo and Delfina (Reyna) Aguilar. She was a resident of Taft, Texas since 1966.  Maria was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Taft where she was a devoted Guadalupana. Maria will be missed by all who knew her.

Preceding in death is her daughter: Christine Sanchez; and parents: Guillermo and Delfina Aguilar.

Survivors include her husband: Felix S. Flores of Taft, Texas; son: Felix Flores, Jr. (Laura Heinemann) of  Portland, Texas; daughters: Irene Vela (Joe) of Corpus Christi, Texas; Norma Jean Montemayor (Adrian Alvillar) of Corpus Christi, Texas; Alicia Lucio (Ismael Aldape) of Taft, Texas; Delicia Rodriguez of Rockport, Texas; Sara Nunn (Henry) of Sinton, Texas; Sonya Flores (Roy Rodriguez) of Taft, Texas and Cynthia Swift (Nicholas) of Portland, Texas; 34 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and numerous brothers and sisters.

Visitation will be held Monday, April 22, 2019, 4:00 PM at Resthaven Funeral Home, Sinton. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, April 23, 2019, 10:00 AM at Immaculate Conception Church, Taft. Burial will follow in Palms Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Portland.
