Marian Louise Henry

Marian Louise Houser Henry took her last breath on Friday, July 5th, 2019 at the age of 84 in Corpus Christi, Texas.
Marian was born on December 16th, 1934 to Lathenia Jones Houser and Carroll Winston Houser in Woodsboro, TX.  Marian attended Sinton High School and graduated in May 1952 as class Valedictorian.  After high school Marian moved to Corpus Christi where she worked for several years.  She married and had two sons, Leslie Mel Allen and John Richard Allen.  She moved to Houston, TX and worked as an Executive Secretary with Goldking Production Company.
In 1983 Marian married the love of her life, Robert J. “Bob” Henry, and shortly thereafter moved to Ogden, UT where she worked for the IRS until her retirement.  After Bob’s death in 1996 Marian returned to Corpus Christi.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Bob, and her son, Leslie Mel Allen.
Marian is survived by son and daughter-in-law, John R. “Johnny” and Tracy Allen of Tomball, Texas; daughter-in-law Jenny Allen of Ruidoso, New Mexico; two sisters, Peggy (Garvin) McCaskill, of Lake Jackson, Texas and Norma (Larry) Jones of Houston, Texas; one brother Carroll W. Houser, Jr. of Sinton, Texas; five grandchildren, Johnny N. Allen, Derek Allen, Ashley Allen, Morgan Allen, and John M. Allen; three great grandchildren, Morgan Allen, Marshall Allen, and Maria Allen; and devoted and trusted friend Terri Ross.
Services will be at 2:00 PM Tuesday, July 9, 2019 at Resthaven Funeral Home in Sinton, Texas.
Visitation will be held 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM Tuesday, July 9, 2019 at Rest Haven Funeral Home in Sinton, Texas.
Graveside service and interment will be Thursday, July 11, 2019, 10:00 AM at Carson Cemetery, Ector, Texas.
