Mary R. Hinojosa

Odem – Mary R. Hinojosa passed away peacefully on June 20, 2019 with her loving family at her side. She was 68.

Mary was born in Odem, Texas on December 14, 1950 to Bonifacio, Sr. and Elida (Salinas) Romero. She was a lifelong resident of Odem, Texas and retired after 10 years of employment with Admiral Linen.

Preceding in death are her parents: Bonifacio, Sr. and Elida Romero; brothers: Bonifacio “Bonny” Romero, Jr. and Arturo “Lefty” Romero; and brother-in-law: Juan Casas.

Survivors include her husband: Tony Hinojosa of Odem, Texas; daughter: Marion Rubio (Eddie) of Odem, Texas; 5 grandchildren: Danielle Rubio (Chucky); Erika Rubio (Billy Huerta, Jr.); E.J. Rubio; Tony Rubio and Joaquin Rubio; 7 great-grandchildren; brothers: Augustine Romero (Lydia) of Portland, Texas; Frank Romero (Tonya) of Odem, Texas; Rick Romero (Nora) of Odem, Texas and Jacob Romero (Rebecca) of Odem, Texas; sister: Martha Kerr (Randy) of Odem, Texas; Aurora Pizana (Irineo) of Odem, Texas; Lucy Casas of Pasadena, Texas and Yolanda Muldrow (Burch) of Laredo, Texas.

Visitation will be held Monday, June 24, 2019, 2:00 PM at Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel, Sinton. A rosary will be held the same evening, 7:00 PM, at the funeral home. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, June 25, 2019, 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Church, Odem with Father Isaias Estepa as celebrant. Burial will follow in San Pedro Cemetery, Odem.

Pallbearers will be E.J. Rubio; Tony Rubio; C.J. Romero; Chucky Alaniz; Billy Huerta, Jr. and Abel Leal.
