Aransas Pass – Ponciano Guerrero passed away on December 20, 2017. He was 73 and an Aransas Pass native.

Ponciano was born in Taft, Texas on September 26, 1944 to Juan Guerrero and Elena (Valdez) Garcia.  He was a retired sandblaster and previously worked at Gulf King.

Ponciano is preceded in death by his parents; brother:  Ricky Guerrero and sister: Maggie Alvarado.

Survivors include his sons:  Jesse Abraham Guerrero of Aransas Pass, Texas; Josiah Guerrero of Aransas Pass, Texas; Judah Benjamin (Kadie) Guerrero of Corpus Christi, Texas; Joel Cristan (Zalvie Aquino) Guerrero of Citrus Heights, California and Ponce (Linda) Guerrero of Rockport, Texas; daughters:  Mary Cleo Guerrero of California; Duana Guerrero of Rockport, Texas and Abigail Ruth (Thomas) Guerrero of Ingleside, Texas; brothers:  Ralph Garcia of Arkansas; Wally Guerrero of Aransas Pass, Texas and Willie Guerrero of Del Rio, Texas; sisters:  Marilyn (Gary) Murphy of Arkansas and Elena Hinmek of Oregon; 18 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
