Sinton – Rebecca Gomez Sanchez passed away May 19, 2017 after a short illness with her loving family by her side. She was 23.

Rebecca was born in born in Corpus Christi, Texas on March 9, 1994 to Abel T. and Merida (Arroya) Gomez.

Rebecca was a lifelong resident of Sinton, Texas. She was a graduate of Sinton High School currently employed by Butter Churn restaurant.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents: Angel Lugo Gomez, Dominga Arroya Gomez, Apolinar Martinez Sanchez and Maria Guadalupe Tijerina Sanchez.

Survivors include her parents: Abel and Merida Sanchez of Sinton, Texas; a brother: Abel Sanchez, Jr. (Krystal) of Portland, Texas; nephews: Brody Dean Sanchez and Carson Alexander Sanchez of Portland, Texas; uncle: Reynaldo Gomez of McKinney, Texas; and an aunt: Sylvia Medina of Sinton, Texas.

Visitation will begin Sunday, May 21, 1017 at 1:00 PM. A holy rosary will be held Sunday, 7:00 PM at the funeral home. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, May 22, 2017, 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Church in Sinton with Father Paul Rajareegam as celebrant. Burial will follow in Eternal Rest Cemetery, Sinton.
