Richard Cole Hatchett

Rockport – Richard Cole Hatchett passed away peacefully on November 16, 2018. He was 60.

Richard was born in Granbury, Texas on June 28, 1958 to Jeanette (Israel) and Howell Wayne Hatchett. He was a resident of Rockport since 2002 and former resident of Weatherford, Texas. Richard was formerly employed by JM Davidson. He had a passion for motorcycles, fishing and helping people. His family, the nieces who loved him like a father and his many friends in Rockport will miss him dearly.

Preceding in death are his father, Wayne Hatchett and brother, Billy Joe Hatchett.

Survivors include his sons: Cole Hatchett (Saundra) of North Richland Hills, Texas and Chase Durham; daughters: Keeley Letz (Nick) and Brittney Smith, all of Burleson, Texas; 6 grandchildren: Lee Hatchett, Piper Letz, Max Letz, Miles Letz, Allison McDaniel and Kaitlyn Smith; his mother: Jeanette Hatchett of Rockport, Texas; brothers: Hardy Wayne Hatchett (Karen Dobbins), Danny Ray Hatchett (Trisha) and Ace Adam Hatchett (Julie), all of Rockport, Texas; sisters: Jennifer King of Ft. Worth, Texas and Jeanetta Fay Yow (Ronnie) of Azle, Texas; and countless extended family members and friends.

A Memorial Service honoring Richard’s life will be held on December 8th 11:00 AM at the Rockport American G.I. Forum. Rockport, Texas.
