Rita Benavides Morin

Sinton – Rita Benavidez Morin passed away peacefully on September 30, 2019. She was 73.

Rita was born in Sinton, Texas on January 1, 1946 to Manuel and Maria (Nieves) Benavides. She was a lifelong resident of Sinton where she and her husband made their home and raised their family. Rita was a former Beautician. Later in life she worked as a store manager, nurse’s aide and an insurance agent for American National Insurance. Rita loved her family, but doted on her grandchildren. They were the sparkle in her eye and always put a smile on her face.

Preceding in death is her husband: Pedro D. Morin; and her parents: Manuel and Maria Benavides.

Survivors include her son: Daniel Morin (Cristina) of San Francisco, CA; daughters: Naomi Pina (LeeRoy) of Sinton, Texas and Donna Sue Morin-Ramirez (Lee) of Odem, Texas; grandchildren: Tabatha Ashley Molina (Mike); Bethany Kristi Morin; Jared Daniel Morin; Roland Pedro Rodriguez (Brandi Rae); Kayla Ravae Rodriguez and John Torres (Alyssa); great-grandchildren: Annabella Naranjo; Caylyn Naranjo; Gavin Anthony Molina; Kylie Noel Lobdell; Noah Alexander Rodriguez; Klover Dean Davis; Mackenzee Torres; McKynlee Torres and Braelyn Torres; brother: Manuel Benavides, Jr. of Sinton, Texas; sisters: Celia Gonzales (Gonzalo); Mary Lou Gonzales, Carolina Cantu (Roy), Linda Lopez (Raul) and Rosemary Longoria, all of Sinton, Texas; and Yolanda Carley (Errol) of Olathe, Kansas.
Visitation will begin Friday, October 4, 2019, 1:00 PM at Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel, Sinton. A prayer service will be held the same evening, 7:00 PM at the funeral home. The Funeral Service will be held Saturday, October 5, 2019, 10:00 AM at the funeral home with Pastor Sandra Moreno officiating. Burial will follow in Eternal Rest Cemetery, Sinton.

Pallbearers will be Roland Rodriguez, Sr., Roland Rodriguez, Jr., LeeRoy Pina, Jared Daniel Morin, John Torres, Taylor Davis, Trey Longoria and Matthew Garza.
