Robert Wayne Miller, 65, passed away August 2, 2018. He was a graduate of Sinton High School and in 1972, married the love of his life, Debbie. They had two wonderful children, Randy and Kimberly. Robert proudly served his country in the United States Air Force that included a year in Thailand during the Vietnam War. After his discharge, Robert and Debbie made Sinton their home. He was an electrician by trade and spent many years in the oil field. Robert had been a volunteer fire fighter and was always willing to lend a helping hand; he had the gift of ingenuity in whatever he did.
Robert is predeceased by his parents, Wesley and Billie Miller, and a brother, Richard. He is survived by his wife, Debbie; a son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Monica Miller, of New Braunfels; a daughter and son-in-law, Kimberly and Charlie Nelson, of Sinton; and four grandchildren: Lakin and Lauren Miller and Ella and Mason Nelson. Also a brother, Ron Miller of Abilene; and two sisters, Darlene (Ray) Schramm of San Antonio and Judy (Earnest) Mosley of Poteet.
Special thanks to Arkey and the entire Silver Dollar family in Bandera for all the later years of love and friendship shown to Robert.
Father Tom Goodwin will officiate the Rites of Christian Service at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, August 6th, at the Resthaven Funeral Home in Sinton. Military honors and a graveside service will follow at the Sinton Cemetery with visitation and lunch afterward at the Sacred Heart parish hall in Sinton.
