Taft – Rosa R. Narvaez passed away March 16, 2017 in Sugarland, Texas with her loving family at her side. She was 78.

Rosa was born September 3, 1938 in Seguin, Texas to Cosme and Dominga (Cantu) Rosales. She was a lifelong resident of Taft, Texas where she was employed by Taft Hospital and later Taft Rehabilitation Center. Rosa was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She touched the lives of her children, grandchildren and friends who will miss her greatly.

Rosa is preceded in death by her husband: Gilberto Narvaez; a son: Ismael Narvaez; and her parents: Cosme and Dominga Rosales.

Survivors include sons: Reynaldo (Diana) Narvaez of Richmond, Texas; Ramiro Narvaez, Sr. of La Marque, Texas; Javier (Jeanette) Narvaez of The Woodlands, Texas; Mark Narvaez of Taft, Texas; Abraham (Margo) Narvaez of Sugarland, Texas and Roland (Wendy) of Henderson, NV; brothers: Felipe Rosales of Victoria, Texas and Leonardo Rosales of Taft, Texas; a sister: Isabel Moreno of Taft, Texas; 12 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will begin Tuesday, March 21, 2017, 5:00 PM at Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel, Sinton.  A holy rosary will be recited the same evening, 7:00 PM at the funeral home. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, March 22, 2017, 10:00 AM at Immaculate Conception Church in Taft. Interment will follow in Taft Memorial Park Cemetery, Taft.
