Ruby Lou (Tidwell) Hranicky age 87, of Corpus Christi went to be with her Lord on August 20, 2017 after a long battle with cancer. She was born in Sinton, TX, at her family home on October 10, 1929 to George and Luella (Moses) Tidwell. Ruby taught school, was executive secretary at Welder Wildlife Foundation, and a real estate investor.  She was a house flipper before her time, antique hunter, and loved researching family history.  Her nieces and nephews were her pride and joy, spoiled rotten, always desiring a good education and a special job for each of her little ones.

Ruby is preceded in death by her parents: George and Luella Tidwell; sisters: Alta Faye Elledge; Edith Anderson; and brother: Marvin Tidwell.

She is survived by her loving husband of 51 years: Roy E Hranicky, Corpus Christi, TX; sister: Lola Tidwell Curlee of Sinton, TX; nephews: George Elledge (Carolyn) of Houston, TX and John Elledge (Christi) of Kingwood, TX; John Curlee (Jane) and Chris Curlee (Brenda) of Sinton, TX; nieces Lou Ann Mattison of Anchorage, AL and Dawn Carlson-Kraft (John) of Terre Haute, IN; and numerous great and great-great nieces and nephews.

Visitation will begin at 2:00 PM Sunday, September 3, 2017 at Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel, Sinton, with a service following at 3:00 PM. A private burial will be at the family plot in Sinton Cemetery.
