Sandra "Sandy" Grant Schweizer

Aransas Pass – Sandra “Sandy” Grant Schweizer passed away at home surrounded by her family on June 30, 2018. She was 75.

Sandy was born February 27, 1943 in Michigan City, Indiana to Melba Elizabeth (Woolever) and Farrell D. Grant. She was a resident of the Ingleside/Aransas Pass areas more than 45 years. Sandy was married to Robert “Bob” Schweizer 58 years. Sandy and Bob owned and operated Bob’s Bait Stand in Ingleside, Texas. They served the community more than 25 years. Sandy was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She was as gentle, unique and colorful as the butterflies she loved. Sandy will be missed by her family and everyone who knew her.

Sandy is preceded in death by her mother and stepfather: Melba and Floyd Mrozinske; her father: Farrell Grant; a brother: Robert Grant; a sister and brother-in-law: Dolores and Ocy Richardson.

Survivors include her husband of 58 years: Bob Schweizer of Aransas Pass, Texas; daughters: Lisa Berry of Denton, Texas, Lori Upton of Bastrop, Texas and Michele Truax and husband Paul of Rockport, Texas; sons: Darrin Schweizer of Ingleside, Texas; Darril and wife Tammy Schweizer of Aransas Pass, Texas; 11 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; sisters: Karen Carter of Ft. Myers, FL and Sherry Benton (husband Robert) of Marion, IA; brother: Paul Grant and wife Shirley of Ft. Myers, FL; half-brother: Kieth Harper and wife Amy of LaPeer, MI; sister-in-law: Esther Grant of Tyler, Texas; and numerous extended family members and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, July 7, 2018, 2:00 PM at the Ingleside United Methodist Church in Ingleside, Texas.
