Aransas Pass – Sostenes Salas passed away March 14, 2017. He was 92.

Sostenes was born on September 22, 1924 in Brownsville, Texas to Jubencio and Leonarda (Cruz) Salas. He worked as a meat packer for many years.

Survivors include his sons: Sostenes Salas, Jr. and Jubencio J. Salas, both of Greeley, Colorado; Steve Salas of Wyoming; Jose Angel Salas of Colorado; daughters: Virginia Gutierrez of Colorado; Mary Salas of Arizona; Hortencia Salas of Aransas Pass, Texas; Josefina Marquez of Dallas, Texas; Catalina Salas of Minnesota; Leonarda Salas of Colorado; grandchildren: Astolfo J. Rios and Cornelio Ray Rios both of Corpus Christi, Texas; and Javier J. Rios of Chandler, Arizona.

All services will be private.
