Torivio Alvarado Galvan

Aransas Pass – Torivio Alvarado Galvan passed away May 7, 2019 with his loving family at his side.

Torivio was born April 16, 1937 in Gregory, Texas to Lucas and Francesca (Alvarado) Galvan. He was a lifelong resident of Aransas Pass where he was well known to the community. Torivio was formerly employed as a Butcher. He was a Veteran who proudly served his country in the US Army. Torivio was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Preceding in death are his parents: Lucas and Francesca Galvan; and brothers: Enrique Galvan, Lucas Galvan, Jr. and Lupe Galvan.

Survivors include his wife: Estella Galvan; sons: Robert Galvan; Timothy Lewis Galvan (Deanna); Victor Galvan (DeAnna) and Robert Anthony Galvan, all of Aransas Pass, Texas; daughters: Mary Ann Yardley (Tracy) and Aleisha Rodriquez (John), both of Aransas Pass, Texas; 17 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; brothers: Silverio Galvan and Freddy Galvan (Elva), both of Aransas Pass, Texas; sisters: Lucia Garcia (David) of Rockport, Texas; Irene Salazar of Ingleside, Texas; Maggie Aldape (Domingo) of Aransas Pass, Texas; Frances Driver of Hondo, Texas and Olivia Ochoa of Rockport, Texas.; and many extended family members and friends.

Visitation will be held Friday, May 10, 2019, 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel, Aransas Pass. A holy rosary will be recited the same day, 7:00 PM at the funeral home. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, May 11, 2019, 11:00 AM at St. Mary Star of the Sea Church in Aransas Pass with Father James Vasquez as celebrant. Burial will follow in Prairie View Cemetery, Aransas Pass.
