Rockport – Traci Skomer passed away peacefully May 4, 2017 with her loving family at her side. She was 53.

Traci was born January 5, 1964 in Athens, Georgia to J.B. and Frankie (Graham) Benson. She was a resident of Rockport for 15 years, and former resident of Danielsville, Georgia. Traci was a homemaker. She was dearly loved by her husband, her children, her grandchildren, her siblings and many friends.

Traci is preceded in death by her grandparents: Waymon C. (a World War II veteran) and Elizabeth Wood; and her father-in-law: Louis A. Skomer, Sr., a US Navy veteran.

Survivors include her husband: Louis Skomer of Rockport, Texas; daughters: Tristin Johnson (Wayne) of Bristol, Tennessee; Kayla Williamson (Chris) of North Carolina; Melissa Skomer of Georgia and Miranda S. Trammell of Rockport, Texas; sons: Samuel Hays of Rockport, Texas and Louis Skomer, III of Orange, Texas; her mother: Frankie  Burrell (Milton) of Danielsville, GA; her father: J.B. Benson (Guydean); a sister: Jamie Burrell of Florida; a brother: Jeffery Burrell of Danielsville, GA; mother-in-law: Mary Ann Skomer of Rockport, Texas; and 10 grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, May 13, 2017, 2:00 PM at the First Baptist Church in Rockport, Texas.
